  1. During a »Close-Day» Cashy-POS offer the possibility to  mail you this close-day. Apart from some other reports, this mail will also have you database with all your data and settings attached. The database attached is in compressed (zip) format and by default password protected with your supervisor password.
    In order to use this option, you need a configured mail account in your iPad settings!
  2. Equally during »Close-Day» you can choose the option to upload your reports and the database onto an FTP-server. This could be an other computer in your network, a network storage device or even a space running on your domain hosting in the internet.
    In order to use this option, you will need to add the settings of the FTP-server under »Manage Cashy > Settings > Backup/Restore» in the FTP section. There you can save the user name, password and the name or address of the server
  3. Both methods 1) and 2) are greyed-out in the list of close-targets if they are not defined in the Ipad-settings (EMAIL) and/or in Cashy-Settings (FTP).
    – Under »Manage Cashy > Settings > Support» you can also initiate an outgoing mail with your database attached. Just take care replacing our support mail address by yours before sending it!
    – Under »Manage Cashy > Settings > Backup/Restore» you can initiate the upload of the database onto your FTP-server manually
  4. Additionally we offer the application «Cashy-Backup» in Apple’s AppStore. It can be installed for example onto an iPhone and then is able loading the database from a Cashy-POS installation in the same WiFi-network. It can handle several databases and is also capable to serve as a source to restore from.
    Backup and restore must be executed from within »Manage Cashy > Settings > Backup/Restore»
