Since our latest update 1.99 the combined drawer-printer-scanner solution “mPOP” from Star Micronics can be used together with Cashy-POS.
mPOP is a cash drawer with integrated receipt printer and (optional) barcode reader. It connects to the iPad using Bluetooth technology.
The combo is very compact and specially useful in places with limited space like food trucks or fairs and markets.
Yes, you can upgrade to this version any time.
Bet be prepared, each operating system update needs a little bit more resources … Therefore, especially older iPads may become slower. If you are using this iPad as a cash register only, this iOS-update is not mandatory.
Update – 15.12.2014
It is save now to use Cashy-POS under the latest version of iOS (actually 8.1.2)
After iOS 8 was published yesterday we discovered several problems.
Actually we are working on idetifying and solving these problems and need to warn you to not update your operating system to the version 8 for the moment.
We will keep you informed here!
We built-in an undocumented function allowing a fast database import of the Lite version into the full version of this iPad cash register.
Both variants of Cashy-POS should have at least version 1.6.
All recent sales and settings will be take over into the full version.
Now you can completely configure all your products and settings in the Lite version and after buying the full version transferring them in a snap.
Our support crew will tell you the trick, just ask for! (LINK)
Tomorrow we will release the new verison Cashy-POS 1.6 with exiting new features!
Click here (release notes) to see what we prepared for you!
As many of you know, the only restrictions of the free Lite version (Cashy-POS Lite) are predefined VAT values which can not be adapted to country specific values.
One of the VAT values is actually defined as 0%. The next update (coming soon) will no longer support this.
To people using the free Lite version in productionto we highly recommend not updating to version 1.6.
Update: 20.10.2013
Everything is running smoothly under iOS 7 now.
Don’t forget to update Cahsy-POS before you upgrade to iOS 7. And of cause, be on the secure side mailing you a close-day automatically including a backup of the database.
We tested our app on the pre-release version of iOS 7 and we already fixed a lot of errors due to huge changes of iOS 7.
We still can not guarantee 100% that no additional bugs will be discovered in the next days. That’s why we recommend to postpone the update of your system for a while.
