If you choose to send by mail a close-day report, then a listing in a chronological order of all transactions from this day will be attached as PDF-file to the generated email.
This journal also sums up the transactions paid in cash (excluding all card transactions) and can serve as a cash book.
Define a category as «Voucher» and sell vouchers from this category. Selling a voucher will automatically use 0% VAT and their sale will be listed seperatly in the close-reports.
If the customer likes to pay with a voucher he previously purchased, create a payment method «Voucher» and use it for cashy the amount due. If the amount of the transaction is higher then the vouchers value, It is possible combining the payment with an other payment method.
Because Cashy-POS does not communicate your sales to a cloud service in the web, is is very important to backup your data on a regular base.
We implemented several easy to use backup possibilities.
Cashy-POS does not depend of an internet connection because this cash register is not a cloud application but running completely independent on your device.
Neverless, ther are some functions needing an internet connection:
Receipts, close-day reports, etc can be printed onto normal receipt printers. We mainly support EPSON receipt printers. Exeptions are the printer-drawer combination mPOP from StarMicronic and the TSP-100-LAN from the same supplier. This cash register application communicates to network-connected printers (LAN) and Bluetooth-Printers.
Under this LINK you will find a list of compatible printers.
In Cashy-POS we integrated a receipt designer allowing you to highly configure your own customer receipt. It is possible designing several layouts as well as printing more then one layout per transaction. This functionality is very estimated by food trucks, which can print a receipt as well as f.ex. a number for the customer to get later his ordered pizza, steak, etc.
These receipts can also be sent by email or printed on any AirPrint enabled desktop-printer.
Some special configurations allow you, to only print a receipt on request, but still have the drawer opening when the transaction is paid in cash.
You can assign a barcode to all products you created. You then can use a Bluetooth connected barcode reader to register the sale of these products.
Actually we support barcode readers from SocketMobile (7-series) and from Opticon (2005). Basically Cashy-POS should work with any Bluetooth barcode reader operating in HID-mode and having an option to hide/show the virtual keyboard of the iPad.
We and some members from our user-community translated Cashy-POS into the following languages
The language of Cashy-POS does not depening of the language version of the iPad!
To organize your products, you can create as many categories you like. A maximum of 10 categories can be displayed on the main screen..
Cashy-POS can manage up to 8 users. It is possible assigning different rights to these users.
Switching users is not password protected. In our opinion, this makes no sense in a small shop. Only restricted functions (see above) are requesting a user password to identify the user.
Beside the always existing cash button you can individually define up to six other payment methods.
Cashy-POS has integrated the following card payment service providers:
More information about cashless payment methods we integrated under this (LINK)
You can define up to 3 different VAT-rates and assign them to categories. Products inside a category are heriting the VAT rate assigned to that category.
Users can enter their working hours as well as the the breaks they took. Using this data, you will be able calculating f.ex. an average of the sales per hour from an employee and compare it to other sellers.
Close reports (day/month(year) are always covering the period since the last close. So a close month report could cover only one week if executed once a week or a close day could cover a timespan of two days if executed only after two days of using the cash register.
It is possible mailing close reports or upload them to any ftp-server (in the internet or the local network). They contain extended reports as PDF-files as well as a CSV-file with could be used for imoporting the close-data into a spreadsheet application like Excel or Numbers
Only emailed close-day reports contain additionally a journal-file with all transactions (since last close-day) chronologically ordered. All close-reports will have a password-protected ZIP-file attached which is your backup of the database.
It is highly recommmended executing at least once a week a close-day.
The report section contains reports about sales, users, inventory and payment methods. They can be filtered by predefined filters. All reports can be exported as CSV-file (to import ino a spreadsheet application) or as a PDF-file (for printing)
Product List Numbers (PLU can be as long as 15 digits and contain numbers and dots.
Using PLU’s you easily can register a sale just by typing the PLU and then hitting the «PLU»-button. A search function (all products) on the main screen allws you to search for PLU’s.
Up to 50 products (two pages at 25 products each) can be placed on a dedicated buttons. You can define the button-colour as well as style of the button titles
Swipe horizontally on mainscreen to access the bestseller-buttons. Tap long onto an empty space on one of the bestseller pages to add new buttons/products by using the «+» symbol appearing after long tap.
Optionally you can add a customer diplay connected to Cashy-POS on the iPad. It can run on an old iPhone (min. iPhone 3GS) and will display all sales while you are registering them to the customer.
If no sales registering is in progress, it can display a screensaver picture or f.ex. an advertising movie.
In order to use this option, you need a dedicated application (Cashy-Display) running on a device connected to the same WiFi-network as the iPad.
You can find the customer display application for Cashy-POS in apples AppStore using this LINK
